The restaurant is Don Felix located in the hip Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. They specialize in seafood. I've been there once with a group of 15 and plan to go back.
The food I ate:
Appetizer 1: (free) Rolls and special spicy cucumber tasting sauce/dip. Super spicy and delicious.
Appetizer 2: Ensalada de calamares (cold squid salad with onions, tomatoes, olives celery and lettuce).
Entree: Tallarin saltado de pollo (spaghetti, mixed with chicken strips, sauteed onions and diced fresh tomatoes).
Food others at my table ate:
Camaron al ajo (sauteed shrimp in butter and slices of garlic, with steamed rice).
Pescado a lo Felix (fried fish and seafood combo - shrip, octopus, squid - in oyster sauce with green onions and steamed rice).
Pescado saltado (fish strips with french fries, sauteed onions and tomatoes with steamed rice).
The portions were huge, one dish enough to feed 3 - 4 people, and all very tasty.
