Jean Ikezoe-Halevi for the Chicago Japanese American Historical Society (CJAHS) reviews a panel and forum about Nikkei identity held earlier this year in Chicago. Her article is now up in the Articles section of the Community Forum. The "Day of Remembrance 2006, Commemorating the Signing of Executive Order 9066” program was held at DeVry University in Chicago in February 2006, sponsored by the CJAHS. The program addressed identity for Japanese Americans of the post-war era and the generational effects it will have in the future.
