The Little Tokyo Historical Society will meet on Saturday, August 26th from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at the Japanese American National Museum. We have an exciting, packed agenda that includes a presentation on Bronzeville with journalist Martha Nakagawa; a session with JANM’s Cris Paschild and Karin Higa on resources pertaining to Little Tokyo at the Hirasaki National Resource Center; and building research strategies, for those interested in jumping in and starting research on Little Tokyo buildings right away! We’ll discuss ZIMAS and Sanborn maps, acquiring Building & Safety permits, the City of LA Historic-Cultural Monuments Program and National Register listings.
