My name Cory Shiozaki and I am a "docent" at the Manzanar National Historic Site and Interpretive Center and I have just completed a two day lecture, walking tour and artifacts exhibit at Manzanar on May 27th and May 28th about the Manzanar internees that used to sneak out of the barbed wire to go trout fishing.

I have created a new website on this very topic that I wish to share. Please click on site below to view site.

Hi Cory,

How often are you at the Interpretive Center? My husband and I are going up there on our way up to Mammoth this weekend. He and his friends will be fishing. I'm going to try.

=)

I will be up there probably in late September or early October to contiue shooting additional
footage for my documentary film.

I have made some updates to my website and you can read more testimony and stories of the internees that have shared their experiencesd while trout fishing. You will find them humorous as well. It amazing how they could still have fun during this dark day in American history.
