Those are some really great photos of your family! Thanks so much for sharing them with the site. Good luck with finding someone to translate the Japanese text for you. It would be really interesting to learn more about them if possible. Who knows? Maybe someone will see them online and recognize the people in them.

Hi and welcome to Discover Nikkei!

Discovering your own family's history is one of the best things you can do for yourself. The coolest thing is finding out where in Japan your family is from and visiting there. Hopefully, as you find things out, you can share your family photos with us on the Nikkei Album.

Peace,
Hi

Hello, I am new to this site. I am a fourth generation Japanese American in college. My great-great grandparents came to southern california in 1905 and my family is still here today. I have recently become interested in researching my families past. I have a fairly large collection of old photos (about 100) and many of which have Japanese writing on them. I'm trying to find someone who can read old Japanese writing so if anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it!
