 <description>&lt;p&gt;I saw an article on the &lt;em&gt;Pacific Citizen&lt;/em&gt; website about Little Tokyo&#039;s Jodo Shu Betsuin. It caught my eye because I had kind of heard about this a while back. My family belonged/belongs(?) to the Betsuin, but since we only go for funerals and memorial services, I didn&#039;t realize anything was wrong until one of my uncles passed away. I thought it was strange that the funeral was at Nishi Hongwanji. They said it was because we got kicked out of our temple.&lt;/p&gt;
