Black and white silent amateur films by Dave Tatsuno (1913-2006), a businessman in the San Francisco Bay area. Tatsuno's earliest films, taken from August-November 1936 while he was an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, show family, church, and school activities.
This segment, filmed by Tatsuno's brother Masateru ("Tut") in November 1936, shows the western span of the newly opened San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, and a view of the San Francisco Embarcadero (01:10).
