Sam Mihara
Sam Mihara es un ex internado en el campamento de Heart Mountain, Wyoming. Nació y creció en San Francisco. Al ingresar a Heart Mountain a los 9 años, Sam tiene recuerdos vívidos de los eventos antes, durante y después del campamento. Después de la guerra, la familia de Sam regresó a San Francisco. Se graduó en ingeniería en UC Berkeley y UCLA. Sam se jubiló después de una carrera de 42 años en Boeing Company, donde fue científico espacial y director de marketing. Tiene dos hijas y dos nietos.

I remember the spring of 1942. I had just turned 9 years old and the armed United States military came to our neighborhood in San Francisco. The guards escorted my father, mother, brother, me, and all others of Japanese ethnicity in the area out of our homes and placed us into buses.
