Sharon Inahara
Sharon Inahara, una sansei, nació en Portland, Oregon, y asistió a Claremont Colleges en el sur de California. Licenciada en Bellas Artes, expuso como solista en el norte de Inglaterra. En San Francisco, trabajó como editora de fotografías en las revistas Rolling Stone y Outside. Posteriormente residió en Los Ángeles y Hawaii, y trabajó como estilista fotográfica en publicidad, comercio minorista y cine. Ahora vive en su amado Portland, diseña para Nike y otros clientes de ropa deportiva, y pinta en su tiempo libre. Sharon está muy orgullosa de Matt, su hijo de 18 años. hijo mayor, estudiante de primer año en la Universidad de Oregon.

Seven years ago, I moved back to Portland to be with my family. During this time, I was compelled to pursue painting on a large scale. As a Sansei (third generation Japanese), I became fascinated with my parents’ experiences during the events surrounding WWII and the incarceration of Japanese Americans.
