Prolific Japanese-born, current NYC resident, pianist-singer-songwriter Akiko Yano has released 29 original albums. While producing Yano’s album in 2007, T Bone Burnett brought Marc Ribot on board. Since then, Yano has found great joy of playing with Ribot. 　 He has participated Yano’s Japan tour for previous three years. Last year, Yano and Ribot were joined by Jennifer Condos (d) and Jay Bellrose(drs) at LPR. In March 2011, Yano performed with Ribot as his special guest for the “Japan Benefit” concert held at Miller Theater.
