I am a Santa Monica resident. Wife, Jean Nishizu-Shikata of Orange Co & retired L.A. Superior Court Reporter. Son, David M. is a Respiratory therapist.
I was born in Chicago, Ill. Lived in Japan & returned to L.A. to attend school. USAF vet. 1962-1966. 1973-1975 Fellowship graduate of The American Film Institute. My father was Nisei pioneer TV/Film actor, Dale Ishimoto. Mother is motion picture actress, Miiko Taka.
