An American photographer and writer, living in Okinawa, Japan, I've been here for decades. Documenting and researching the lifestyle, culture and folklore of the Ryukyu Islands is something, I do daily. Married to an Okinawan and, having 10 grandchildren on this island, I hope you will accept the presence, of a foreigner, who migrated to Japan and, wishes to make contributions to this special community.
