Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
I was a CIC agent, which taught me to be independent, responsible, and self worthy in order to carry out my responsibilities at age 19 to 22... usually borne by persons much older. Personally, I had to be aggressive (not usual Japanese trait) in order to operate as agent.
