We slept wherever we could; bathed whenever water available. Meals were awful bad, good & super (civilian). Took whatever entertainment that was available or 'slept'.

1. The death of a friend right before my eyes. 2. Shocked by the discrimination towards black persons in the States.

Left the Army a matured person and not a naive innocent kid. In other words I became a 'man'.
