Living conditions
Living conditions were wherever your unit stopped - sleep in pup-tents or if you were lucky you found a house. As far as baths are concerned -whenever you had a chance - cold or hot. Not much as far as entertainment was concerned, visited nearby towns to see the living condition of the people in that country.
Most vivid memory of military experience
The day war was over in Europe. No more buddies being killed or wounded. We can soon go home to the good old U.S.A.
Missed most whilst in the military
Good old home cooked meals and all the friends back home.
Most important thing, personally, to come from military experience?
While in the service - you learn to enjoy the friendship of your buddies - how to get along with each other. The trust in each other. You meet people of all walks of life. Sports, entertainers, college professors, doctor, lawyer or just an every day worker.
