Screened huts - bathe in half salt half fresh water, using hard water soap. Mostly dehydrated food - Went fishing for play and for food for the troops.

Learned how to bake and cook and bust my ass fixing roads.

Served honorably although was denied my Bhuddist religion.
Additional information
(1) Was able to survive with minimum support (Caught our own fish, etc.) (2) I fed more generals and admirals fried chicken Assholes when they came to Chrisrmas Island for a fishing expedition. (That's all I had; I fed the good stuff to the troops.)
