Southern Baptist Church Kokura Japan 1908.  SBC mission work was launched in Kokura in 1891 by Mutsuo Goto. The church was "organized" on November 3, 1903. This "chapel" or "church building" was erected in spring 1904 and dedicated that summer in either June or July. It had a seating capacity of 125 and was only used until 1919, when a bigger church building was erected. Kokura Baptist Church is still around today.
