A brief history of Takeo Kaneichi, who was born in Kerman, near Fresno, California and died of his wounds in the 442. His father was Kahei, his mother Misao. Sisters were Shizuko Nagamura Kaneichi (who returned to Japan quite young), Ruth (Suzuko) Itogawa, Helen (Harue) Shirakawa and Chiyoko. His brother was Yoshio.
