Black & white silent amateur footage of family and business activities of Setsuo Aratani (1885-1940), filmed 1926-1940.

This segment (04:10) shows a spring tour of the Yosemite Valley by Setsuo and Yoshiko Aratani and friends. Footage includes Yosemite monuments including El Capitan and Half Dome, along with valley views, rivers, and meadows. The Aratani group is shown picnicking in the forest, posing along footpaths, standing in front of vista points, walking through snow banks and tossing snow.
