Black & white silent amateur footage of family and business activities of Setsuo Aratani (1885-1940), filmed 1926-1940.

This segment (03:11; emulsion partly damaged) shows footage of Aratani's Buddhist funeral (April 1940) in Guadalupe and Santa Maria, California, including motorcycle police accompanying the hearse and the lengthy funeral motorcade to the Veterans Memorial Community Center in Santa Maria, California; Buddhist priests and church officials escorting Aratani's casket into the Veterans Memorial auditorium; mourners filing into the Veterans Memorial and signing condolence books; and the vast array of floral tributes filling the auditorium.
