マンザナ強制収容所の模型

日系人の収容所体験は、その後の日系人社会の形成にも大きな影響を与えました。写真は、戦後、日系人が自らの強制収容所の経験を整理するために作ったものです。

戦時中、アメリカ政府が日系コミュニティに対して行った誤った行為に対し、公正と正義を要求することの重要性を少しでも感じ取っていただけたでしょうか。

皆さんも日系人の収容所の意味について考えてみてください。
