Sadao Tome
Born in Motobu Town, Okinawa Prefecture in August 1941. After working for Gakken and other companies, he moved to the US in 1969. Graduated from Glendale City College, transferred to California State University (CSULA) before dropping out. Served as president of the Okinawan Association of America for two years, from 2005 to 2006. Currently, he is chairman of the "Okinawan Association of America History Book Compilation Committee." He is a US correspondent for the Ryukyu Shimpo. In 2008, he was certified as a member of the Japan Essayist Club. He is the author of "Living in America."
