Kiyokatsu Tadokoro


Born in Kumamoto Prefecture in 1948. After graduating from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, he studied at the National Federal University of Fluminense in Brazil for two years. After returning to Japan, he completed his graduate studies at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. After working as a researcher at the Field Institute of Historical Geography (FHG) and an assistant at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, he is now a professor at the same university. Director of the Brazilian Ethnic Cultural Research Center. Regional studies of Brazil based on ethnogeography. Has published numerous books on Brazilian culture and literature.
