Shane Sato
Shane Sato has spent most of his career working in publicity and advertising in the U.S. and Asia. He has worked in many aspects in the Asian American community photographing for movies, magazines, and events for over 30 years. With the help of people like Scott Fujita, he hopes that he can continue his passion project of Nisei American Veterans’ portraits, and that these images and stories will never be forgotten. Over the weekend I was working at the Japanese American Bar Association Annual Fundraising Gala. A fantastic organization that supports lawyers and speaks about issues with Japanese influences. Every year they have a great show with well deserved awardees.
