Yuriko Ogawa


Yuriko Ogawa graduated from Sophia University in 2017 where she majored in French and studied abroad in Lyon, France. After she graduated, she worked at a public interest incorporated foundation for 2 years and moved to Seattle with her husband who studies there. She loves traveling and good meals; she has traveled to about 30 countries and visited 750 Japanese restaurants.

For Japanese people, the family name Matsudaira immediately brings a connection to the Tokugawa Shogun family. Hearing that Martin “Mich” Mitsuyuki Matsudaira passed away in March 2019 at the age of 81, I became quite interested in the family history of the Matsudairas in Seattle.
