Kara Isozaki
Kara Isozaki is a fourth generation Japanese Canadian from Toronto working in community heritage. Since completing her masters degrees in museum studies and in archives and records management last year, she has moved back and forth between Toronto and Vancouver. She currently works for the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre.

I am Japanese Canadian on both sides of my family. Following the WWII injustices suffered by the community, my grandparents moved to Toronto, hoping for a better future. Two generations later, my extended family is humungous. Since we all live in Toronto, I grew up surrounded by my family and their food.
