DESCRIPTION:<strong>What is Camp Musubi?&nbsp\;</strong>\n\nCamp Musubi is 
 a weeklong day camp that uses fun activities to teach young people about J
 apanese American heritage. Camp Musubi takes place in the summer in Los An
 geles&rsquo\; Little Tokyo. The goal of the camp is to spark interest in t
 he Japanese American culture and community through hands-on experiences an
 d interactions with people in the community. Participants will learn from 
 a variety of cultural and community "experts" and do group activities with
  a college-aged leader.\n\n<strong>When is Camp Musubi?</strong>\n\nThe da
 tes for Camp Musubi 2012 are July 16-20th. The program runs from 9am to 4p
 m. Extended care is available 4-5:30pm for an additional fee of $40.\n\n<s
 trong>What kind of fun activities are part of the experience?</strong>\n\n
 The activities will include a combination of cultural experiences\, games\
 , and field trips. Cultural workshops may include taiko\, ikebana\, martia
 l arts\, papermaking\, cooking\, calligraphy\, etc. Guest speakers will in
 clude cultural artists\, Japanese American Professional and athletes as we
 ll as people from community groups. Past participants have gone on a scave
 nger hunt throughout J-Town and visited various sites such as the Japanese
  American National Museum\, Terminal Island\, Earl Burns Miller Japanese G
 arden at CSULB and last year they were able to have an extended day trip t
 o Manzanar National Historical Park.\n\n<strong>Who can participate in Cam
 p Musubi?</strong>\n\nCamp Musubi is open to any middle school-aged studen
 t entering 6th\, 7th\, or 8th grade\, who wants to have fun learning about
  Nikkei heritage. There are no restrictions.\n\n<strong>How much does it c
 ost to participate in Camp Musubi?</strong>\n\nPrice is $275 for the 2012 
 Camp.&nbsp\; However if you register before May 15\, 2012 you will receive
  the early bird special price of $250!&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\nThere is also a si
 bling discount for siblings attending camp together.&nbsp\; Each additiona
 l sibling will be $225.&nbsp\; Camp Musubi t-shirts are optional and can b
 e pre-ordered for $15.\n\n<strong>Where is Camp Musubi?</strong>\n\nCamp M
 usubi will meet at Centenary United Methodist Church in Little Tokyo.&nbsp
