Bringing history alive with evocative visuals, color, and symbolism, Tony Moy created his webtoon, “4Forty2nd - The Lost Battalion’ to highlight the legacy of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team during World War II. This month, the Northwest Nikkei Museum will discuss the creative process with Moy as part of our monthly Speaker Series.

Moy was introduced to the Nisei Veteran’s Committee (NVC), which shared their deep knowledge and understanding of the 442nd’s history — a regiment that served their country valiantly, while their families were forcibly incarcerated by Executive Order 9066. A representative of the NVC will also be joining us at this month’s Speaker Series, so please look forward to hearing more about the group’s history as well!
