What are the merits of sparkling sake? How does red sake get its color? What, exactly, is nigori? At Japan Society's 21st Annual Sake Lecture & Tasting event, sake expert John Gauntner explores new, rare, and unorthodox variations in the world of sake. Gauntner delves into the pros and cons of these sake anomalies, and examines how they stack up against the tried-and-true standards. Followed by a tasting reception with more than 30 kinds of premium sake. Must be 21 years of age, or older.
Tickets: $45/$40 Japan Society members
