Celebrating the 90th birthdays of the Japanese Hall & Japan/Canada Relations!
In partnership with the Vancouver Heritage Foundation, the Nikkei National Museum, Landscapes of Injustice, Tonari Gumi, Chocolate Arts, and the Consulate of Japan, the Vancouver Japanese Language School & Japanese Hall (VJLS-JH) will be launching Walking Tours of Historic Powell Street on every 2nd and 4th Sat of the month from Sat. May 26 until the end of September.   Beginning with a building tour of our 1928 Heritage Building (now Children's World Childcare Centre), explore and reimagine the Pre-war Japanese Canadian neighbourhood along Powell Street led by volunteer tour guides.

This is a fundraising project to raise funds for the Teacher Resource cluster to create dynamic digital creative for the teacher lesson plans.

Please send out the invitation to all your family and friends to support LOI to make amazing educational teaching materials and to experience the early immigrant history of Vancouver.
