The city's oldest museum takes a multifaceted approach to examining World War II. The exhibit will be staged throughout the institution and will incorporate more than 300 artifacts, including maps, radio broadcasts and images. The idea is to show both the city's role in the conflict (as a hub for shipbuilding, among oher ways) and the war's impact on New York. The exhibition will be on display through May 26.
