Winter fundraiser for Oregon Nikkei Endowment
Cost: $120 (or $100 if you provide your own jubako box)
on sale through December 18, 2009
Available to order in the Oregon Nikkei Endowment online gift shop

Support the Oregon Nikkei Endowment and enjoy traditional Japanese New Year’s foods (osechi ryori ) prepared by Nikkei community cooks, displayed in a three-tiered lacquer box (jubako ). This jubako is a distinctly Northwest Japanese American version, with matsutake rice (featuring matsutake gathered from the slopes of the Cascades) and delicious smoked salmon, along with many other traditional dishes, including nishime , kimpira gobo , makizushi , sekihan , and more.

The cost is $120 for the entire osechi ryori and jubako (or $100 if you provide your own jubako box), of which $60 is tax-deductible. Your order will be available for pick-up on Wednesday, December 31, 2009, from 1:30—2:30pm, at the Oregon Buddhist Temple (3720 SE 34th Ave, Portland).

Call us at 503-224-1458 for questions or to place an order. Also available to order through the Oregon Nikkei Endowment online gift shop .
