Through January 6, 2008, Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry will feature its traditional "Christmas Around the World" exhibit of massive trees decorated in the styles of the many nations that are represented in the city. As in previous years, the Japanese tree is adorned with origami ornaments that were handmade and placed by Naomi Negi Tran and members of her Tampopo-kai play group.

For more information on "Christmas Around the World," see the museum's website at www.msichicago.org. For more information on Tampopo-kai, see the website of the Japanese American Service Committee, www.jasc-chicago.org/ccorg.html.
